COWS & CATS Kenosha Lakeshore Ride — October 1, 2022

Save the Date – October 1st!!! What could possibly be better than a fall COWS ride? How about a CACTUS ride — COWS and CATS Tandeming in Unison with Style. (Thanks to Greg Browning of the CATS for coming up with that clever acronym!) Greg & Jeanne Browning and Pat & Beth Peterson are collaborating to have a joint ride in Kenosha, starting and ending at Petrifying Springs Park, beginning at 10:00 AM. As always, you must be a current member of COWS (or CATS) to participate.

The ride will start and end at Kenosha’s Petrifying Springs Park. We are planning to have a picnic lunch at the park biergarten afterwards. The 36-mile route is basically a down and back on trails and low-traveled streets with great views of the Kenosha Lakeshore. The 46-mile route adds a northern loop on the paved and very nice Pike River Pathway and the Kenosha County Bike Trail.

Also, since the herd is scattered throughout the state, if anyone would like to spend Friday night in Kenosha, let me know by emailing bethapete@gmail.com. If enough people are interested, I will get a block of rooms at a nearby hotel for Friday night.

Lastly, many thanks to Greg and Jeanne Browning for developing a beautiful scenic route that we can all enjoy.

More details including final GPX files and cuesheets will be posted in the COWS RWGPS group as the date draws closer. The tentative route is posted below (click the map to enlarge). Hope this works for those who would like to ride!
