A WORD TO THE HERD
A Word to the Herd – Winter 2018
A Moovingly special thanks goes to Mark and Rebecca Habeck for hosting the 2017 Fall Rally in Oshkosh. The bike routes, weather, hotel, food and fellowship times were all great. We had 15 couples attend and heard so many positive comments.
We know it’s always a long winter in Wisconsin, but now is the time to start planning on attending the 2018 Spring Rally. The dates are May 18 – 20 in Racine. This rally will be hosted by Beth & Pat Peterson. Look for further information in the Rides Section on this website. We look forward to meeting and greeting both long-time and new friends. Best of all, we promise great biking and great fun.

2017 was a great year to be a COWs member as we had some great rallies and a very good mixer at the MTR in Dublin OH. We ended up with 77 member teams for 2017 – with a bit of a boost due to the recruiting efforts of our members at the MTR! Expect that we will have another fun year of tandem riding and socializing kicking off with our Spring Rally which will be held May 18 – 20th in Racine WI.
If you aren’t already part of our Facebook Group page, you might want to consider joining. It has really worked great for group trips to some of the tandem rallies in other parts of the country as well as providing a forum for asking questions on equipment. If you don’t know how to join the Facebook page just send us an e-mail and we will provide instructions.
In 2017 we retired and moved to Traverse City, MI. The riding is fantastic around Traverse City – so you might want to consider joining us for a COWs Wrangler ride in Traverse City on September 4 & 5. These dates are the Tuesday and Wednesday after the MTR in Grand Rapids MI (Traverse City is 2 hours North of Grand Rapids). More information will be sent out to COWs members once plans are more finalized.
Please consider hosting a Wrangler ride next year. Just send us a quick note at (firstname.lastname@example.org) of your intent to host in your neighborhood and we’ll get it posted on our site. Follow these 3 simple steps: Book it, Plan it (route maps, food), Enjoy it!
Let us know if you have any comments or suggestions!
