MIDWEST TANDEM RALLY - MTR 2007
August 31st, 2007 through September 3rd, 2007
The COWs will be hosting the Midwest Tandem Rally in 2007 in Appleton Wisconsin. We are in the early stages of planning and are always looking for volunteers to help on the various committees. The committees are already formed and we can put you in contact with the committee head, in your area of interest by contacting the COWs secretary.
The following is a list of the MTR 2007 VOLUNTEERS. If your name is not on the list you can contact The COWs Presidents.
HOTELS
The host hotel will be the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in downtown Appleton Wisconsin. The Hotel Liaison and Budget Committee has already secured an agreement with the Paper Valley Hotel for a standard room rate of $89.00/night. They will have three hundred rooms available for our rally participants. The hotel is taking reservations for all rooms.
There will also be some overflow hotels in the area which include the:

Hilton Garden Hotel tel. 920-730-1900,

Both the Hilton & Holiday Inn have a large open parking lots.
The public parking ramps have a height limitation. Please be sure to remove your bike from the top of your vehicle before entering these ramps. Parking on the streets around the host hotel is metered.
BANQUET
The banquet will be at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. Seating is limited, so register early. The buffet style meal will include Baked Chicken, Rice Pilaf, Vegetarian Lasagna, Salad, and Desert. There will also be entertainment by "Sweet Lips Comedy Theater," a local comedy troupe.
REGISTRATION
We will be taking registration through
starting in October 2006 but registration by mail can be made by printing the form from this
document.
With registration you will recieve lunches, Que sheets, SAG support, and rest stop support.
Register early as our cost will increase as we near the event. Registrations Fees are shown in the table below.

We will no longer be able to accept orders for MTR 2007 specific merchandise as we have had to place our order with the manufacturer.
ROUTES
The routes are in final review. Our Rides Commitee has provided a route from Manitowoc, WI to Appleton, WI for those who use the SS Badger from Ludington, MI.
The distances for the other routes are as follows:
Friday - 13 mile Ice Cream Ride
Saturday - 31, 48, and 69 mile routes
Sunday - 30, 50, and 67 mile routes
The routes on Saturday will all end up at the Greenville Park for lunch. There is a small zoo a short walk from the park with a modest $5.00 entrance fee.
