Starting January 1st, 2006 the COWs will be offering paid membership into their organization. Some of the privileges include insurance through the League of American Bicyclists while participating in planned COWs events, reduced registration fees for our rallies, regular notification of upcoming events via snail mail or e-mail.

Membership rates are per family and paid through December of the current year.

In the past, anyone who had ever attended a COWs rally was on our books as a member of the COWs. This was a fun thing to do but looking at our "membership list" we had names of couples we had not seen for years. Starting in Jan of 2006 you will need to fill out a registration form and pay the yearly dues to become a member of the COWs. Our membership form and due structure are very straight forward. Membership in the COWs costs $10 per team the first year and renewal will be $5 per team for non-lapsing memberships.

“What do I get for my membership fees,” you may ask? Registration fees for the Spring & Fall rallies will be $15 per team for non-members and $10 per team for members of the COWs. So, if you go to both the Spring & Fall rallies your membership cost is $0.00 for the year. If you renew your membership the next year without letting it lapse (renew before the end of Feb) and attend both the Spring & Fall rallies your membership actually earned you a + $5.00 over non-members. The COWs, in return, have a list of members that actually means something.
