Recap of 2016 rides:
Spring Rally — Marshfield, WI – summary
Spring Rally 2016 might go down as the best weather ever for a COWs Spring Rally! Beautiful blue skies and temperatures in the 70s and 80s were greatly enjoyed by 47 Teams during the May 20 – 22 week-end. The routes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday took us in multiple directions – and all roads offered low traffic and just slight to rolling hills. Saturday night’s banquet offered a special surprise as we celebrated the Laab’s 50th wedding anniversary with some Asti and a special cake. Thanks to the Gleisners and the Laabs for a great job of planning and hosting.
Faux Fall Rally — Fish Creek, WI (DOOR COUNTY) – summary
We had a great rally August 19 – 21 in Door County. The social on Friday night offered plenty of great desserts – and of course wine and other adult beverages. Weather on Saturday was a bit soggy – which meant shortened rides for some and a very wet ride for others. But the weather improved for Sunday so we improvised and did a ride that was a bit longer than the typical Sunday breakfast ride. Kudos to the Moores and Noffkes for a great job planning and hosting!
